Personality: A jolly attitude, Al loves to laugh and make friends. She is a little too hard on herself at times however, especially when she feels she has messed up. She'll sometimes go a bit overboard when making someones aquaintence for the first time, this has led to many being a little aprehensive about spending more time with her. Her seemingly boundless energy can be tiring. She's always there when her friends need her. Al knows what it's like to feel friendless and she wants every person she meets to be a friend. She can be pushy, but usually you just need to say something to her and she'll ease off. Al is very competitive and can be frightning when under pressure (this is from her competitive dancing career).

History: Al grew up with a loving family on Sunburst Island in the Orange Archipelago. Her parents always did their best to make sure that their three children knew that they were loved, especially their only girl. But, it's tough being the 'fat kid'. Al was teased far too often for her liking, but her older brothers were always there to help cheer her up. Al really looks up to her oldest adoptive brother Julian. He taught her, "Some people aren't happy just being satisfied with what they have. They have to make others miserable just for fun. Don't end up like that. Learn to be happy, and to share that happiness."

It helped Al feel better to spend time with her mother as well. Balboa had run a dance studio before settling down on the island and she sparked Al's initial interest in dancing. Balboa taught her basic steps and a few fun 'tricks'.

With her family, Al made it through all the teasings in her younger years with her head held high. She made her closest friend at the begining of high school, a Furret named Tama. He was gawky and stickly, she was round and short. The two of them made a good team against school bullies. Together, they joined the dance team at school and there they found a love of performing. When they performed, it didn't matter what they looked like as individuals. All that was important was how well they knew the steps.

The two of them finished school and went on to join a competive Ballroom Dance Company that would travel across Sinnih and Johto. (It helped that Al's mom had a few friends in the industry and could call in some favors). Saying goodbye to their small island, they set off.

A few years have gone by now. Life was good. Al was traveling with her best friend, doing what she loved. Not long ago though, Al thought she and Tama were beginning to become more than friends. The future looked bright, until he ran off with a Vulpix and a single note saying, I've found my one.

 Now, Al is looking for a place to strike out on her own. Weary of the road, and a little heartsick, she is nostolgic for the islands. She's looking to find a place where she can teach dancing and spread the joy that she has found in the sport.
